How do I put music on my website is a question that many people ask. Putting music on a website is not difficult. It is done using html code to embed the music file. One can use html code to give the listener the choice of listening or have the music start playing when the website is visited. A person can use html code to have the player show, or not have the player show. This code is very easy to find on the internet and doesn’t cost anything, just time to type in the code that is necessary to make the action happen.

Several internet business provide the code for a fee. A person just copies and pastes it to their website and they have music. Some of these business also update the code on a regular basis so a person can change songs easily. So, a person can choose to type in the code or pay to copy the code. It is totally dependent on an individual’s time and budget.

But, there are a few things that need to be thought through before one decides to put music on their website that can impact how well a business does. First, copyright laws apply to everyone. A person needs to check and make sure that the music they play on their website is not breaking any copyright regulations when it is played. Most music is copyrighted and a person is not allowed to play it on their website without purchasing a license.

There are many visitors to a site who will not wait for music to load. If a file is over 45 KB it is likely that individuals with slower systems will exit the website before the music starts and the person with that website has lost a potential customer.

The next consideration is that not everyone likes the same music that the owner of the website likes. Unless the website is in a niche market where everyone is listening to the same group, sing the same song, there are going to be customers who leave the site without browsing or buying because they hate the music.

Lastly, is that when a website is interesting, word often gets around. Many people who surf the net at work, do so during their breaks and lunch. This is against the rules, but they do it anyway because no one will know. That is, until they get to the website they’ve been hearing about and music starts coming out of the speaker. Besides being embarrassing and really bad for the employee, the website has lost a customer.

Well it seems that someone out there thinks so.

A couple of days ago I found this comment on one of my Free dreamweaver tutorials on you tube:

“Don’t buy anything from this guys website, his ripping you off…”

and the writer goes on to say:

“You can get these tutorials for free on youtube…”

It seems his point is that because there are some free Dreamweaver tutorials available on Youtube I must be ripping people off because we’re selling ours.

This got me thinking – “I wonder how our customer feel?”

Did you feel “ripped off” after buying DreamweaverMadeSimple or did you feel as though you got value for money?

Would you rather have spent weeks searching the internet piecing together bits and pieces of the dreamweaver puzzle or did you benefit from having a step by step dreamweaver tutorial taking you through the whole process from start to finish?

I’d really like to hear your view…

Are people being ripped of when they order DreamweaverMadeSimple?

If you’re trying to learn Photoshop online, then you’ve probably come many an Adobe Photoshop Course that are both free and paid. So which one is better? Should you drop money to learn Photoshop online? Hoepfully this article will give you some answers to help you make an informed decision before you buy an Adobe Photoshop course.

Free courses benefit from the fact, obviously, that they are free. If you really wanted to, you could conceivably find everything you could want to know as you learn Photoshop online. So, is it even worth paying anything for an Adobe Photoshop course?

Often, though, a problem arises from free tutorials because they are just a series of random tutorials, but not formed into an easy to follow course. Often, the sites that have free tutorials in a course format are incomplete or they are not as thorough as they need to be in order to really learn and master those aspects of Photoshop.

You could piece together a course with random video tutorials here and there, but this would take time. What you are really paying for is the time you could be saving from putting together an Adobe Photoshop course yourself. This is your time-cost factor?” Would you be willing to pay $50 on an Adobe Photoshop Course to save a couple hours of searching?

So, to summarize, what you are really paying for when you buy an Adobe Photoshop course is the time you save, but also the convenience of having a course that is already put together and well thought out for you. Ultimately, it comes down to determining how much you are willing to pay for your time.

What are the best courses out there for your money? Well, there’s a lot of information on Adobe Photoshop courses at http://www.squidoo.com/adobephotoshopcourses There’s also some good information on Photoshop in general at http://www.squidoo.com/learn-photoshop-online Hopefully, you can find all the information you need there, but if not, leave a comment for any more information you’d like to know.

Building a website is now easier than ever. More poeple are trying their hand at building their own websites. But if you don’t know your HTML to your CSS you may think you will struggle when it comes to building a website. But don’t you worry because the Internet is replete with resources or references that will teach you how to build your very first piece of real estate in cyberspace. However, before overloading with online tutorials on how to build the perfect website, you should first familiarise yourself with some of the basics in web design. Find out what they are below.

First, make your website look professional. True, you are just a beginner in this field, but you might as well start making it a habit to make your site appear that it has been built by a professional. As you may know, one of the secrets to online success is having a professional, trust worthy website. That is, if Internet users do not trust your website, you might as well take it off cyberspace. And when online visitors go to a website, they judge its trustworthiness largely on the appearance – specifically its neatness and adherence to established web design standards. A professional and established online presence is key when attracting potential clients to your business.

Also, you should remember that Internet users are not the type of folks who have all the time in the world. Quite on the contrary, your visitors rarely have time to spare, and they rely on fast, well built website when doing business online. With this in mind, remember that your website should be easy to navigate. Fortunately, incorporating techniques like external CSS will make the look and feel of your website far more appealing. Checking your code is valid is also important when building your website, using online validators like W3C (The World Wide Web Consortium) will keep you on track.

Lastly, always make it a point to build a relationship with your online visitors. Inviting your visitors to ‘ask a question’ or ‘leave a comment’ is a good way to interact with your users. Quite often, this important aspect can be overlooked. If you do not have ample contact information, potential web traffic may veer away from your site because online users will think that you are not credible. When you are done with your new website, you can try submitting it to a CSS Gallery or CSS Showcase website. Showcase websites present some of the best CSS and Flash websites from around the world and it doesnt matter if you can’t decide which is the best web gallery as there are plenty to choose from. With a bit of luck your new website might make it into a CSS Gallery.
